Anna Maria Sofia Cecilia Calogeropoulou was an american-born Greek soprano.She is the most renowned and influential opera singer of the 20th century.Her repertoire ranged from classical opera to the bel canto operas of Donizetti,Bellini,Rossini and further to the works of Verdi and Puccini.Her musical and dramatic talents led to her being hailed as La Divina.This portrait of my compatriot woman-myth was one of my seven artworks for the great and famous exhibition at Carrousel of the Musée du Louvre.
